Christmas Mantle and Hearth, 2019

Good morning! Today I am sharing our mantle and hearth, decorated for Christmas. Come on in. I wish you could actually come visit!
At dusk I light all the lights and love the glow!

I love to sit and just enjoy the decorations. I should have lit the fire for you!

The 2 Santas on the elephants are hand made by a woman in Texas. These 2 are both Polish Santas. The one on the left we gave to Joe's parents and inherited it back after they both passed away. The one on the right was the first one we bought for ourselves. We have 2 more I will show you in another post.

They both have a polish doll and the writing on the bottom says they were made in Krakow.

This guy is a Joyce Ditz Santa, he is pulling his wagon of trees.

Thanks so much for your visit. Merry Christmas everyone!
XO, Pinky

My Gingerbread bar in the Kitchen

Good morning friends! I hope you all are warmer than we are, it is freezing here. But at least we didn't get ANY of the snow that they thought we would get. For that I am grateful as I have too much to do to be stuck:) I wanted to share my gingerbread bar in the kitchen today. This is what you see as you enter the kitchen. It makes me smile every morning when I walk out to the kitchen.
This gingerbread house is actually a candle holder. My Joe electrified it for me.
The center house was a gift from him several years ago. I LOVE it. It has so many beautiful details!
This smaller house I found at Christmas Tree Shops years ago and Joe electrified it for me too. Now they all come on together.
Mrs. Claus and Santa are Byers Choice pieces as are the smaller characters. The smaller ones are called Kindles.
Both Mrs, Claus and Santa have baked a gingerbread house!

I like to place some of the Kindles actually ON the house.
I found this little ladder so have one guy up there decorating the house;)
When I got this years ago, that is what started my desire to collect enough pieces to make a gingerbread bar.
Thanks SO much for your visit. Are you still decorating or have you finished? I am done and am so glad I did it early. Have a beautiful day!!!
XO, Pinky

Frosty is at the Table!

Good morning! I know everyone is probably very busy today getting ready for Thanksgiving so I appreciate your visit! I decided I wanted to do another table the other day and I think it may be my favorite! I just really love the look of this. I hope you do too! I started with a black and white checked tablecloth, then layered a faux evergreen mat, a plaid charger, our everyday Christmas dinner plate and TOPPED it off with these mini top hats!

I filled the red bubble goblets with some fun accessories and of course a snowflake and a candy cane.
The top hat sits on my snowman cake plate.
And I am using a snow family runner.

I love these snowball votive holders.
The white berry rings remind me of tiny snow balls too.
And I am using my top hat S and P! AND I found a snowman toothpick holder:)

Of course the snowman flatware is perfect. We use it or our red flatware all winter.
My napkin ring is actually a taper candle ring but it matches the mat so well I had to use them!

I got these at Kirklands many years ago and love the little dish they came with!

This was supposed to be the first picture but somehow it ended up here? LOL

Thanks so much for stopping by. I know we are all VERY busy getting ready for Thanksgiving. I wish you all a VERY happy and blessed Thanksgiving!!

A Christmas/Winter vignette

Good Morning my friends! Are you almost ready for Thanksgiving? We hosted Thanksgiving for over 40 years but now our daughter has taken over. Also, Colleens birthday is Nov. 20 so always in Thanksgiving week. My son comes up from Fl. for her birthday and stays through Thanksgiving so..... I now decorate for Christmas before Nov. 20th! I am all finished! It feels so good especially because Thanksgiving is so late this year! It is only 1 month til Christmas! So, I thought I would share a little vignette I did in the breakfast room to start off my Christmas posts. Joe made 2 of these tables for me for our last house. I love having one here. I made a little grouping in a white tray and then another on one of my bread boards.
I placed a small snowman on my tiny green stool with a bed of snow. Then I added 2 more snow people and a twig deer.
I love this snow lady with her FUR!!!!

Some night time shots too.

I just may leave this here past Christmas for some winter decor too.

Thanks so much for your visit. Wishing you all a VERY happy, blessed Thanksgiving!

A Fall Tour of my Home!

Good morning my friends. I thought you might like a little tour. Even though so many have done tours early, Let's looks around!!! Welcome!!!! I don't do Halloween anymore, since we live here. We don't get any trick or treaters and I go with my granddaughter in their neighborhood now;)
Joe and I recently cut back all the bushes in the front. They were overgrown and I am so glad to have it opened up again!
Come on in, I lit the candles and lights for you!
Love the blue velvet pumpkins that I collected from the shelves of Joann  Fabric!

Looking back towards the front door.

The credenza in the foyer. I did a post on it a few weeks ago. I used glass pumpkins and on the tiered piece I placed 2 sparkly pumpkins. The candle is on a timer.
I made a little arrangement in my fishing basket with things I had in my stash.

Let's look around the living room.
Fall is my very favorite season and these are my colors! I have always loved the combo of rusty orange and blue and white.

I also love a touch of animal print in any room! Joe made me the wooden valances and trimmed them out with abmboo moldings.
I found the blue pumpkin pillows at Big Lots!!! The one in the center I got from Pottery barn.
Pumpkins and wheat on the coffee table.

I found the blue and white pumpkin this year.
An orange velvet pumpkin and a velvet acorn are on the round table.
And I placed a small velvet pumpkin in the orchid plant on the elephant.

These 2 pictures were supposed to be the first 2 pics and I'm not sure how they got here!!!

Thanks so much for your visit. Have a beautiful week!!!
