Hummel Nativity, The Reason for the Season

I love, LOVE my Hummel nativity set and wanted to share it. Hope you enjoy seeing it too. We started out with just the family of Mary, Joseph and the baby. Then for our 25th anniversary our best friends gave us the stable.
Each year we added to our collection.
Joe sets this up each year. It is his favorite task.
And this shepard is his favorite piece. He just looks so humble.

I love the animals breathing warmth onto the baby.

The camels were a major purchase. At first I told Joe not to spend the money but he didn't listen to me. Now I am very happy he didn't!!

This piece is not actually part of the nativity but he seems to be calling to everyone to praise the new King!

Thanks for your vist!! I am leaving my Christmas up for awhile. We are hosting 20 on New Years Day. Then I will think about taking it all down. Happy New Year everyone!!!! XO, Pinky

Dinner Group Table

We hosted our dinner group last week and I got so busy with Christmas that I didn't get a chance to share. I hope you all had a WONDERFUL Christmas, we sure did!!!! I had fun setting a SIMPLE table.  I did use our Lenox Christmas dishes but didn't do a big stack or add alot of glitz! I am loving tartans again this year so started with my tartan plaid tablecloth and napkins.
I have been breaking wine glasses lately so everyone else had a clear wine glass but I had this one.
Detail of the centerpiece that I made many years ago.
The centerpiece is flanked with my 2 deer.
 I love these guys.
The pattern on these dishes is simple but beautiful to me: ribbons and berries.
 The S and P

I also used my goldware. I like to make my guests feel like they are special even when I set a simple table.
Can you see the poinsetta design on the napkim?

The garland over the hutch. I am HOPING that this coming year, Joe may get some time to make me a built in piece here. The room is tiny and I could use the storage. We'll see:):)
I thought I would add this picture of Christmas day too. This was the BEST Christmas and Colleen is the best Christmas present EVER!!!!
Thanks for your vist. I didn't get a chance to share alot with you this holiday season. I am making lists for NEXT year to be more organized!!!! The new year is rapidly approaching! What are you going to resolve to do?

Christmas House Tour, 2014

I am SO behind in posting this year it is awful! I decorated every room in the house but haven't had a chance to share some so I am giving you "The Tour'!!! We start here in the foyer where Santa greets you! Welcome!!! My blue jars stay here all the time and I added red LED candles and candle rings.
On the railing I did a lush garland.
It is packed with beaded fruits, gold birds, gold deer etc.

When you come in the house if you look to the left another Santa greets you:)
This is the upstairs guest room. The decorations all started with the artwork over the bed that I got on clearance last year at Kirklands.
I fell in love with this fur trimmed s\leigh this year.
added a swag with iced branches and berries over the picture.
Here we are in the living room. A vignette of a Fitz and Floyd Santa and 2 deer sits on the coffee table on a beaded runner.
In the breakfast room this is one of my favorite snowmen,
and more adorn the hutch that Joe made!

In the kitchen buffet area I created a gingerbread bar.

And above the cabinets are large candy ornaments and boxes, again clearance from Kirklands last year.
A lit box and 2 gingerbread men sit on the fridge.
Snowman lamp and sponge holder by the sink.

 Mrs. Santa is baking
 along with Mr. Santa Claus.

The tree is 10 feet and this is the only spot in the house it will fit. I am seriously thinking of getting a smaller tree next year and putting it in the living room.
It is decorated all in red and gold.

 Poinsetta ornaments from Lowes!
The mantle this year with a tree theme.

My life sized Joyce Ditz santa in the living room too.
The rest of my pictures won't load so I will try to do a part 2 post right after Christmas. Thank you all SO much for supporting me and my little blog. I wish you all a VERY merry and blessed Christmas. XO, Pinky
