Our Little Sweethearts 2nd Birthday party!!!!

On Saturday we went to Colleen's 2nd birthday party and it was GREAT! We were double blessed, as our son drove up from Fl. to be at the party and stay for Thanksgiving!!! My sister arrives on Tuesday! We will have a wonderful Thanksgiving this year and have SO much to be thankful for. I am not going to speak much but wanted to share some of the pictures. Here is the birthday girl in her princess dress!
 She loved the balloons!
She had her own tiny cake, that she LOVED....
and there was another cake for the guests.
She sure is a beautiful little girl.
 Colleen and Mommy.
 Colleen and Uncle Brian
She ate her cake by dipping the little "glass slipper" into the icing and eating it off that:):) She hates getting her hands dirty:)
Daddy's birthday is the day after hers!
She got this fun riding toy from a neighbor of mine and LOVED it!
She also got a riding car from Uncle Brian that I will show you later. The only pictures I have are them putting it together. Thanks for your visit and I want to wish everyone a happy and blessed Thanksgiving.

A Few Christmas Vignettes

I am decorating EARLY! I usually wait til after Thanksgiving but am having my sister and my son coming from Fl. so....
Here are a few vignettes I snapped today...
I filled this lantern with a tiny snow scene. The snowman is from a museum nearby. All the ornaments are handmade and from ALL natural materials. I added a few sprigs of greens, some snoflakes, and pinecones.

It is part of this vignette on the kitchen table. I will show you more soon.
This guy is a favorite of mine. I placed him on a bed of greens and added snowflakes, pinecones, berries and snowball picks.
One of the vignettes on the kitchen hutch. I will share the whole thing soon too, promise!

A Small Peek at my Christmas Decorating!

I know, I am VERY early! I usually wait til the weekend after Thanksgiving to start my Christmas decorating BUT, this year my sister and my son are coming up for Colleen's birthday and Thaksgiving and not leaving til the week after Thanksgiving. So, I knew that would be WAY too late to start. I want to have it ALL done when they get here....next week!!! Here are just a few little peeks! I got this Santa picture last year after Christmas at Kirklands, cause everything was 75% off! I could not pass it up! I set up this little vignette on this table that is in the hallway between our 2 offices. It is one of the first things you see when you walk in the house.
The Santa is one of the MANY Sant'as I have collected over the years. I placed a very large sugar cone here too.
 I loce his expression.
This little box is another favorite of mine.
And this sweet snow lady was purchsed years ago at a craft fair. I love hand made things!
So that is all I have photographed so far. I have been VERY busy!!! I will be sharing lots more! Thanks for stopping by. XO, Pinky

A Final Thanksgiving Vignette

I thought I would share one last vignette I did for Thanksgiving. I set this on my dining room table since we are not having dinner here. Tom Turkey looks almost regal , maybe cause he knows he is SAFE:) He is sitting on a pedestal, on a tray on a bed of fluff!
He is surrounded by hydrangeas from the yard, gourds, dried artichokes and faux acorns.
I got these gorgeous new candle holders on the day I spent with Yvonne from Stone Gable, Shirley from Housepitality Designs and another blogger!! What a fun day we had!!!!
I kept this simple since it will all be put away soon!

I just love the crackle glass and iron bases. These babies are HEAVY!!! I want to wish every one of you a happy and blessed Thanksgiving. I hope you are surrounded by family. This one will be very  special as it is the first we can share with little Colleen!!!!

A Thanksgiving Breakfast Table

This year we will be going to our daughter and SIL's house for Thanksgiving and we will be celebrating the first Thanksgiving with our little Colleen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have SO much to be thankful for!!! Also our son and my sister will be coming up from Florida to join us and to meet Colleen!!! It will be a weeklong celebration as she has her 2nd birthday on  the 20th!!! So, I set a table for Thanksgiving breakfast before we travel "over the river and through the woods":):) Of course Tom Turkey is presiding over our table. He is sitting up on a pedestal that has some fluff and a base of hydrangeas from the yard. I added some deer sheds, a feather ball, some seed balls and a vine ball...LOTS of texture!

I started with a base of a creamy tablecloth then added this runner that features pumpkins and turkeys!

My stack is a bit unusual; a white charger, then a grapevine wreath as a second charger, an orange ruffled dinner plate, creamy salad, orange leaf bowl and a vase of flowers! I gathered 2 napkins with a tiny ring of greens for more organics.

A stem of acorns sits in with the flowers.

Some more texture is provided with burlap covered votives.
A pretty mug for your coffee or tea.

And a pumpkin on a pedestal with an acorn ring and some acorns around the base.

This wooden pear and a pinecone from the woods fill out the centerpiece.

The pitcher for our orange juice, with a handle that is very much like the mug handle.

Thanks for stopping by, I so appreciate every comment and read them all and try to respond to each one. XO, Pinky
