A Summer Barscape

We just got home from OBX yesterday, so today, after unpacking, I decided to continue "summarizing" the house! I thought I would change the vignette on the bar from Spring to Summer! It all started with this runner that I found last year and haven't used yet. I loved it because of the colors, not all pastels but more MY colors:)
I am still corralling things in this basket that I love. I got this starfish MANY years ago.
I put some of my tiny shells at the base of this hurricane, and included this teeny seahorse.
 Matching shells to the runner.

I broke this shell several years ago but just couldn't part with it. Hope to find a replacement one day....

I found this one in a shop last year. It is man made and not real, I do believe.
I added the large sea fan on a stand.
The starfish votive holders and several years old too.
Placed the hurricane on a stand to raise it up so we could see it better. I love the added texture the rattan base provides.
Tiny starfish on the top of the candle

My son, Brian brought this plant to the beach for us to enjoy and said I could keep it. It is perfect!!!!

Thanks for stopping by. I missed you all last week!!! XO, Pinky

Summer on the Coffee Table

Continuing around the living room, I added some Summer to the coffee table. I started the vignette with this new blue and white vase that I found at Home Goods the other day. For a long time they haven't carried any blue and white but now they are stocking it again and I couldn't be happier! I can't seem to resist it! I also saw a very large bowl that I almost bought, but resisted. I love the design on this new jar!
I have had this shell pillar holder for several years. I added some blue sea glass and an LED candle. I turned it on for you but it is hard to see.

I added some other shells to the tray and beside the tray.

I have a large collection of shells, I have been collecting them for over 30 years. Always have wished we lived near water somewhere but that is not to be:)

I added some star fish to the orchid.
I looked at some beautiful ivy plants today but am waiting til after vacation to get some more.
I LOVE the combination of the blue and whites and the rust colors.
The coral embroidered pillows are on the sofa.

I moved this jar over to on the elephant and added a small starfish. Things keep moving around, as Shirley would say, the "décor shuffle":):) Except that she does the "furniture shuffle":):)

I am looking for a summery tablecloth for the table in the corner to lighten it up for summer.
I added some rusty flowers to the handled pot. They are not as orange as they are showing here.

Thanks for your visit. I hope you are all having a wonderful summer!!!

Summerizing the Mantle and Hearth

Is that a word? LOL! Here is what the mantle has looked like all Spring, but now summer WEATHER has arrived so I decided to go for it!!!
I put together 2 arrangements in my pale green bottle/vases. I always like to use Blue and white for Summer!
Of course I had to add some shells too.
There will be a lot of shells placed through out the house soon, I have a large collection!
This is another favorite container, it looks like it is made from a shell, perfect!
 I also did the hearth.
I like these arrangements to be wispy and airy.
I even changed out the picture over the mantle. Found this at Kirklands last year.
This lighter and brighter look is perfect for summer.

I changed the hearth a LITTLE by adding the hydrangea in the blue and white planter and the shells.
