A Warm White Winter Welcome!

I did a new vignette on the credenza that you see entering the house. I am keeping to a snowy winter theme here too. I love this wreath with bird candle holder. I have an LED candle in it with a timer so it comes on every night.
I used a snowy pinecone garland on a snowy white runner.
Mercury glass votives cast a pretty glow too.
Plain and snow covered pine trees line the back of the credenza. 2 pretty smelling candles also burn at night.

These pretty white swans came from Longwood Gardens a few years ago.

I love the detail on the candle holder.

I hope if you come in you feel the welcome I want you to feel.

We survived the blizzard. LOL. They just plowed our driveway Sunday night so we will be able to get out. I got ALOT done this weekend: I am still doing my organizing and purging/donating that I want to get done this month.  I hope you are all OK after the storm! I am SO grateful that we did not lose our power! Have a beautiful day everyone!!!

What I Did During the Blizzard!!!!

It started snowing here at 6PM Fri. night and won't stop til around 10 PM Sat. night. We have a LOT of snow! I had planned before it started to continue on my organizing and purging mission for this month. I was PRAYING we wouldn't lose power! I have 2 pantries, both very small and they can get totally out of hand quickly. This one was a God awful mess! Now it is much better, organized and purged.
This one just holds food. I have turntables on each shelf so that I can see what I have a get to it easily. The wire shelves on the doors are also a great addition that we did.
This is my teeny linen closet. I keep mostly placemats, napkins (in clear shoe boxes), etc. in here. There are a FEW cold meds etc. in here too.
While I was busy working, the snow was piling up fast!!! This is the house right across the street.
The snow was coming down FAST!.
This is the pile of snow on the table on the deck!
The snow is waist high on the deck. It will be awhile til we can get out that door.

 I also tweeked the hearth.
I added a few pieces, some candles that are part of a set I got at Costco before Christmas. I LOVE them, they have a remote and a timer as well.

This side got a candle on a cut glass bowl turned upside down and a boxwood ball on a silver bowl with another little owl that I found cleaning out drawers. I cleaned out all the kitchen drawers and cabinets too.
These are the rest of the set of candles. I love them, they flicker like real candles and look SO pretty at night!

Thanks so much for your visit. I hope you all are staying warm and cozy during this storm!

Plaid, Pinecones and Snowflakes at the Table

I set a new table for us. We may get a big snowfall this weekend so I made it cozy and comfy! I also wanted it colorful and fun. I gathered 2 napkins; a plaid and a white that is embossed with snowflakes, and gathered them with 2 rings, a grapevine and a berry and holly ring.
I stacked a clear glass charger, a BHG plate from Walmart, a snowflake salad plate also from Walmart several years ago and a pretty square bowl decorated with pinecones and berries. The square bowls say "holiday wishes" on the bottom and are made by 222 Fifth.
See the snowflakes on the napkins?
Mixing red and green flatware is unexpected but fun!
Green glass votive cups hold red candles and my red bubble goblets make another appearance.

At dinner we light the candles!

I gathered some elements in a favorite tray for my centerpiece; a hurricane is filled with faux snow and a red pillar, a snowman sits on a wood slice and a wire cage is filled with winter elements: snowballs, pinecones etc.

This little guy is handmade, bought at a craft fair years ago.
Another craft fair find and a vintage deer.
These votive holders remind me of a snowball.

Thanks so much for your visit. I so appreciate your support and sweet comments!
